Emmaus Walk E-bulletin (7th Sunday of Easter / Pentecost Sunday)

~ EMMAUS WALK ~

Hello Walkers! Last Sunday was the 7th Sunday of Easter, and this Sunday we celebrate Pentecost Sunday! Pentecost Sunday marks the birth of the Church, when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples and they started proclaiming the Risen Lord and the Gospel to the world. We may wish all Christians "Happy Birthday", and reflect on these questions:

Is God truly alive in my life?
How am I proclaiming this to others?

#Happenings (Come Join Us!)

STAY ALIVE!!! (Every Alternate Tuesday, 1st, 3rd and 5th Tuesdays each month)
  • Feel like dying from the burdens of the world? Stay alive! Come and join us for a spirit-filled time of silence, prayer and adoration!
  • We are beginning a new series entitled "Praying with Saint Paul"! Let us grow together in love for Scripture and God
  • Our next session will be on 17 June from 830pm to 930pm at the Prayer Room!

#Spiritual Food
  • Do look out for this week's "FEEDING ON THE WORD OF GOD" reflection! You can read it through email, facebook or on our blog! (http://ouremmauswalk.blogspot.sg/)
  • Synopsis: Amanda reflects on Rublev's "Hospitality of Abraham", and how through this, we may see that the Holy Spirit is indeed a Person of God, part of the Holy Trinity.

#Prayer Intentions
(Please reply to this email if you have prayer intentions and we will include it in next week's e-bulletin!)

Father God, hear our prayers for:
  • Our EW Community: Lord keep us single-minded in our desire to be converted and to grow in our faith, guide our discernment and lead us in the way You will
  • The Nativity Youth Camp (12 - 15 June): Lord please be with the planning committees as well as the participants in this last leg of preparation for the camp; may you fill their hearts with a deeper desire for you and may more people be brought closer to you through these activities
  • All our community members who are struggling in some aspect of the life: Pour our your Holy Spirit upon them to empower them and take away their difficulties, so that victory over the trials they face may give you glory and bear witness to your love, mercy and providence
  • All our families and friends: we ask that you heal those who are unwell and give courage to those who are going through difficult times
  • Our Holy Father Pope Francis, Our dear Archbishop William Goh and all priests : please provide our precious shepherds with every wisdom, strength and grace that they need as they minister to a world so in need of Christ
  • All the needy, the poor, and those who have no one to pray for them: we implore you to hear their cry and we ask that the world and ourselves may be moved in charity to reach out to those in need.
We ask all this in confidence through Jesus Christ our Lord. Mary our Mother, pray for us. Holy Spirit, be our guide.
Amen!

That's all folks! Have a blessed week ahead!
