emmaus walk bulletin: 6 Jan

Dear all Walkers,

Welcome to 2011! It's been 6 days into the year, hope you have been coping well getting back to work/school and leaving the holidays behind you. If you have not, well, there's always the rest of the year :) In any case, here's a little something for you:

A mother goes in to wake up her son to go to school. "Wake up! You're going to be late!"
The boy says, “Mom! I don’t want to go to school today!”
The mom says, “Now son, give me two good reasons why you don’t want to go to school.”
“Mom, the kids all hate me and the teachers all hate me too!”
“Now son, that’s no reason not to go to school. You just have to get up and deal with this.”
The son says, “Mom, give me two reasons why I should go to school.”
And the mom replies, “Well son, you’re 40 years old and you’re the school Principal!"

Last Sunday in CG
In the Feast of the Epiphany, we celebrate the revelation of Christ to the Gentiles and the world by the wise men from the East. Amanda led us on a reflection of this great event. What are the revelations/epiphanies in our own lives? How do we reveal Jesus as our personal Saviour to others?

This Sunday in CG
We celebrate the feast of Baptism of Our Lord. Jesus, the Son of God, goes to John the Baptist for baptism even though he doesn't need to. Why? What can we take from this event? Join us in CG to reflect on this!
