emmaus walk bulletin: 8 December

Dear all Walkers,

Q: What is the most powerful weapon in the Bible?
A:
The Acts (axe) of the Apostles...

As we count down to the days remaining before End-Year Retreat descends upon us, i urge you to keep everyone involved in your prayers - participants, facilitators, committee. Whether you are joining us or not, we could really use all the prayers we get. We are returning to Good Shepherd Seminary in Malacca, where we had our 1st EYR in 2008, and so it's like a homecoming of sorts for us...

If you are not going for the retreat at all, you are most welcome to come down to the Prayer Room in Blk A and join our intercessory team in prayer in the evening every night. Details for this will be released soon!

Last Sunday in CG
We reflected on the role of Emmaus Walk. What is the purpose of forming a community? Acts 2:42 outlines 4 aspects of a model Christian community: apostolic teaching, common life of sharing, breaking of bread, and prayer. What does 'common life of sharing' mean? Do we limit our sharing to within this community? After growing together in this community, how can we extend the love and fellowship we have found to others? Sunday's theme was on Peace. How do we bring peace to others who yearn for it but do not get it?

This Sunday in CG

Join us as Sebby and Deb bring you the last CG before EYR! It's going to be good, because of all of you wonderful people!
