emmaus walk bulletin: 2 Dec

Dear all Walkers,

We have entered the season of Advent, and it is a time for reflection and penance, in preparation for Christmas. Our Sunday Gospel reading (Mt 24:37-44) reminds us to stay prepared and ready for God's coming into our lives, which will be sudden and unannounced.

Last Sunday in CG

In previous sessions on the Holy Spirit, we have heard sharings by Oka and Sury on what it means to live a life in the Spirit. It is being a witness, an instrument of God, and being faithful in what we are called to do. Our work/school is the first place where we can significantly carry this out. We heard a wonderful sharing from Michelle about her work and how God has been with her in her struggles this year. What are the characteristics of Spirit-filled workers? Exodus 35 points out that a willing heart and generosity of talents are most important. What are the ways in which our work/school life challenge our Christian values? What are the ways in which it supports our values? How can I become more Christian at work?

This Sunday in CG

As the year winds down, we also want to reflect on where we have walked in this past year, what it was for, and what we can look forward to for this EW community. Do join us for sharing and fellowship as always!

Also, let's thank Fr Henry for kindly providing us with a netbook for our use! Thanks Father!
