emmaus walk bulletin: 16 December

Dear all Walkers,

It's the middle of December, and this means only 1 thing: we're 2 days away from EYR!!! We've talked about it all year long, and we're going to board the bus this Saturday! Many thanks for all your prayers and efforts towards this annual event that marked the beginning of our EW community in 2008. We ask that you continue to keep EYR in your prayers, especially for those of you who are not going with us physically.

Last Sunday in CG
We shared on what we were grateful for in this year, and then "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" took us on a journey with many lessons to be derived from it. What are you grateful for in this year that is almost over?

Upcoming CG Schedule
19 Dec - No CG: We're all in Malacca!
26 Dec - Potluck gathering (7.00pm, after 5:30pm Mass - see below for details)
02 Jan - CG resumes

Announcements
1) If you are not going for EYR
We have a team of parents/friends doing intercessory prayers every night, 18-21 Dec, 8pm at A-Wing 4. Do come and join in, keeping all the participants, facilitators and committee members in your prayers!

2) Potluck, 26 Dec, 7pm

We'll still gather on Sunday but at 7pm and we'll have potluck so that you can display your culinary skills. Please send a reply to Sebby to inform him what food you will be bringing, in case 1) too many people bring the same food 2) no one is bringing food.

3) Bread Run (Wed 29 December) - appeal for blankets
We thank you for your support of Bread Run. The Bread Run team is asking for donations of blankets for the people that we reach out to at each session. The weather is turning colder and since they have to call the streets their homes, we could bring them some literal warmth. A donation of $2 will buy one blanket at Daiso. We're looking at 40-50 blankets. Please donate generously!

OK that's all from me. If you are going for EYR, remember: Sat 18 Dec, 8am, at B2-1. If you are not, see announcement(1). Either way, i look forward to seeing you when we get back from Malacca!
