Dear Walkers,
This Sunday in CG:
We're having a potluck dinner at 7:30pm, A-Wing 3. Please bring food for about 10-15 people, and reply to say what food you're bringing!
1) EYR acknowledgements
We are back from EYR! And just in time to celebrate the coming of our Lord and Saviour! Many thanks for all your prayers, especially if you've been at the nightly intercessory prayers. God has worked wonders at this retreat and touched many hearts. Let's continue to pray for everyone, that the seeds of revival sown will bear much good fruit in the year ahead!
Allow me to take a bit of time to acknowledge everyone who made it happen:
Big Boss: God
Retreat Master: Bro Cornelius
Head: Isis
Vice Head: Jerry
Spiritual Head: Clare
Treasurer: Deborah
Logistics: Kevin
Programmes: Chris Wu, Gabriel Patrick
Other supporters: Elaine, Barry, Ben Tan, Moses, Amanda
Religious support: Sr Jessica, Fr Kenson, Fr Christopher, Fr Clement (both from Malaysia), Fr Henry
Facilitators: Sebby, Adeline, Wynee, Jelena, Trudy, Ancella, Dwayne, Audrey
Singapore intercessory prayer support coordinator: Greg Teo
Sorry if i left anyone out, please feel free to point out!
As you can see, it took a tremendous amount of effort and an incredible amount of prayer, so if you would like to be part of EYR 2011, please let Elaine or me know! (Yes, we're recruiting already...)
2) Breadrun (Wed 29 Dec, 9pm onwards)
Breadrun resumes this Wed, and we're asking for donations to buy blankets for the people that we reach out to at each session. The weather is turning colder and since they have to call the streets their homes, we could bring them some literal warmth. A donation of $2 will buy one blanket at Daiso. We're looking at 40-50 blankets. Please donate generously! We'll be passing the bag round this Sunday, or you could look for Clare, Trudy, Dwayne, Dominc or me to pass us the money.
This will also be the last Breadrun for this year, so if you have not gone before, it'd be a great chance to go! Especially for those of you who are on leave on Thu...
3) Compasspoint (Tuesdays, 11 Jan 2011 onwards)
Interested in moral formation? Attend the Personal Compass programme and get your moral compass. This is a modular course and the first module, "Foundations in Moral Theology", begins 11 Jan 2011. For more details, see the attachments.
That is all from me, see you all on Sunday for potluck!
