emmaus walk bulletin: 24 November

Dear all Walkers,

A Russian, an Ethiopian and a Singaporean were being surveyed by the World Bank. The question was "What is your opinion on how much money you spend on food?"
The Ethiopian asked, "What is food?"
The Russian asked, "What is money?"
The Singaporean asked, "What is an opinion?"

Last Sunday in CG
We wrapped up our series on the Holy Spirit with a very inspiring sharing by Sury. What does it mean to be a Christian? We may be baptised, but do we allow Jesus to be Master and Lord of our lives? Life gets harder after we decide to follow Jesus, not easier. We change the way we do things, we change our lifestyle, our friends find that our changes are strange and some become former friends. But if we want to follow the will of God, then it has to be done.

This Sunday in CG
Join us as we explore the Holy Spirit at the workplace! (also applicable to school...)

Announcements
1) End Year Retreat (18-22 Dec, Malacca)

We're counting down to the retreat of the year! If you have friends who want to go, sign up quickly! Meet us at the booth outside the front door of the church this Sunday after all Masses!
P.S. some of you have been asking about whether you can come later or leave earlier, and the short answer is no. Sorry, but we need you to experience the full journey because i promise you, it will be worth it!

If you are not going, please do pray for the organisers, the facilitators and the particpants! We need every bit of prayer we can get!

2) Things you could go for - SACCRE events

ISAO Rally (4 Dec, 745 pm @ Church of the Risen Christ (Toa Payoh))
ISAO stands for 'ICCRS Sub-committee for Asia-Oceania'. International leaders will be present to share with and minister to us. Main speaker is Michelle Moran (UK), President of ICCRS. Praise and worship will be led by Peter Moran (UK). Brother James Shin, a religious brother from the Kkottongnae Community in Korea will share his testimony. ICCRS stands for 'International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services'. Based in the Vatican, it is the coordinating body for the worldwide Catholic Charismatic Renewal. And to address the young people of Singapore on 8 Dec, we have the President of ICCRS, Michelle Moran (UK) to tell us about how God is raising up young people to be leaders and witnesses for His glory.
