emmaus walk bulletin: 26 January

Dear Walkers,

No joke this week, I need to recuperate from being a limping prawn... Lame sia...

CG this week
This week we are having a Eucharistic Adoration session from 7pm - 8:30pm at thePrayer Room (A1-3). Come and join us for a time of reflection and worship with the Lord himself in the form of the Blessed Sacrament.

What is the value of Eucharistic Adoration? Click here to read a testimony/sharing by Benjamin Tan on this. It's long but worth the read!

And if you would like a preview of such a session, some of us will be attending the Monthly Eucharistic Adoration at Church of St Ignatius this Friday (27 Jan), 8 - 9:30pm. If you would like to attend together, contact Ben Tan to meet up!

Announcements:
1. Happy birthday!
Our dear Fr Henry Siew celebrates his birthday today (26 Jan)! Let us thank God for the gift of Fr Henry to our parish, and in particular to our youths and young adults. He has been really supportive of what we do and it wouldn't be the same without him around. May God bless him always!

2. School of Witness
Continue to pray for our brothers and sisters who are at SOW! Johnathan Ng, Stefanie Conceicao, Sebby, Celia Choong,Leslie Braberry, Manuel Lee and Abigail Leck. May God bless them and help them to GROW where they are SOWn!

Note: Bread Run will be on hold till after SOW, do look out for future bread-running opportunities!

3. Thanksgiving Mass
This will be held on Sun 5 Feb, where intentions for thanksgiving for EW will be offered at 5:30pm Mass. Please do join us if you can, and give thanks to God for seeing us through a challenging year in 2011, and pray for a blessed 2012 ahead!

4. From Bacon to Deacon
Brother Joseph Zhang and Brother Samuel Lim will be ordained to the Holy Order of Deacon on Sat 11 Feb, 1430 hrs at Church of St Bernadette.

Both seminarians have been very much present at our parish at different times, journeying with the young people of Nativity in their ministries. Our parishoners have done their best to turn them into bacon by feeding them, but the Diaconate still beckons! We wish them all the best, and if you want to attend the Mass, you know where to go!

OK that is all from me, have a blessed week ahead, and thank God for the short week!

In His Love
