Hey all Walkers!
A thousand apologies for this late, late bulletin. A series of miscommunications, last-minute work and some forgetfulness combined to make this the latest update in a week ever. But fret not, for you are reading this at the end of a week (too long for me) and it only means that it's time for CG again!
Last Sunday in CG
We had a small group and a cosy session with our guest speaker Wendy Louis who spoke on God's love, drawing together material from C.S Lewis' "The Four Loves" and Archbishop Desmond Tutu's "Made for Goodness". She took us through the Old Testament, discussing key figures who were symbols of God's love, and then in the New Testament we see that "all we need to know about God's love can be found in the person of Jesus". We are made for love, but oftentimes we find it hardest to love ourselves, and we need to let our goodness flow through.
This Sunday in CG
Our AA batteries, Adeline and Amanda, will wrap up their series on Love, do join us (now that there's no F1) and see what they have in store for you!
Announcements
1) EYR Prayer Hour (Prayer Room, Sunday, 3:45pm)
Join the EYR committee in prayer as we step up our prayer efforts to ensure that whatever we do for EYR, we do in accordance to God's will, and that God's message, not our own messages, will be heard!
2) EYR Facils (Malacca, 18-22 Dec)
Facilitators are still needed, do let Isis or Jerry know if you would like to facilitate. A series of preparatory sessions (already ongoing) has been planned to ensure you are adequately prepared, so don't worry if you feel like you are not up to it :)
Ok that's all from me, see you tonight at CG!
In His love,
barry
