emmaus walk bulletin: 28 July

Hey all Walkers!

Sorry this comes so late. To make up for the lateness, here's a challenging question: A Mitsubishi Lancer GLX is negotiating a right turn at 70km/h. Which wheel exerts the least pressure on the road as the car turns? (Answer at the bottom...)

Last Sunday in CG
We had a prayer session with songs of Taize. The reflection was on Sunday's Gospel (Luke 11:1-13). Taize is a place in France where a group of brothers first got together to pray meditatively with songs with simple chant tunes. It is ecumenical in nature. The short one or two lines per songs express some aspect of our faith or our hope in God. Repeating it over and over again allows it to sink into our thoughts and strengthens our belief in it. For more information, please see www.taize.fr/en. Special thanks to Amanda for putting together the sequence and logistics!

This Sunday in CG
We wrap up our series on Christian Service with a movie screening (and some sharing thereafter)! Come join us, and BYOP (bring your own popcorn)!

Announcements
1. Youth Mass (31 July, 6:30pm, Auditorium)
Come join our youths as they get together and celebrate God! Especially since we also organise EYR for them, this will be a good chance to get to know them.

2. Bread Run (Wednesdays, 9pm, Prayer Room)

Bread Run continues. Help pick up unsold bread from bakeries and distribute to homeless people in the areas around Little India, Beach Road and Serangoon Road. See a side of Singapore you have never seen before, and be humbled by the experience. To join, contact Trudy, Dwayne or Dominic,

3. Feastday stall

Help to plan and run the feastday stall! Last year's was a success, let's continue to help contribute to our parish feastday celebrations! To help, contact Elaine or Kenneth.

OK that's all from me, see you all this Sunday!

In His Love,

P.S. the correct answer is: the spare tyre.
