emmaus walk bulletin: 26 May

Dear all Walkers!

This is a story of two eggs, Egg A and Egg B. They were sitting on the kitchen counter top one morning when Egg A spotted an egg beater by the side where all the knives were. Not recognising it, Egg A turned to Egg B and asked, "Hey what's that white thing with metal spikes over there? Looks fierce!"

Egg B replied, "Hmm i don't know. Beats me!"

Last Sunday

There was no CG, but some of us went for the Pentecost Rally organised by SACCRE at Church of Christ the King. It was a really affirming time for many and the words somehow reached the hearts of those who attended, just as the disciples first reached out to all they were preaching to after the Holy Spirit had descended on them. Rally was followed by Mass, and a great sermon with points succinctly brought across.

This Sunday

CG resumes at the usual time and place, with Adeline and Kenneth continuing to explore the idea of prayer and purpose. Do ome and join us!

Other announcements:
1) Preparatory talk on Adoration of Blessed Sacrament (30 May, 2:30-5pm) - Fr Henry Siew

Come for this session to prepare yourselves for the 40-hour devotion from 4-6 June!

2) EW Retreat (11-13 June)
Come for our first ever retreat for the EW community! Whether you are tired, looking for meaning or just need to step back from the hectic life that young adults get caught up in, this retreat will benefit you in some way. So join us as we move into retreat, in order to advance! Updates on venue and cost will be released really soon (i.e. we're still trying to finalise things, please pray hard that we will be able to do so soon!!!)

3) Parish Mission
The parish is still looking for people to be facilitators, drivers and to fill other roles. If you can help, please sign up with the parish office and offer your services!

And finally, social gathering is back on Thursday (27/05) with the one and only man, Sebby! Call him to express your interest to chill!

If you thought the announcements sounded similar to the previous week's, then congratulations, you've been reading the emails i send out each week!!! :)

In His love,
barry

P.S. While you're at it, please pray for the CJC students going to Kuantan this weekend for Geography fieldtrip! May they not slip on some wet rocks or fall off a cave wall. And may their teachers all come back in one piece!
