As i type, it's raining outside, and this means that you guys will have a good night's sleep cos it'll be really comfortable! If you do see this before you sleep, please offer a prayer for the wellbeing of our brothers and sisters on Bread Run. i'm sure it'll be one of the most challenging Bread Runs to date...
Last Sunday in CG
In preparation for the upcoming 40-hour adoration prayer devotion (see below for details), Gary presented a wonderful session on how to enhance our adoration experience. Through the simple postures of sitting and kneeling, it is possible for us to get into a deep state of being in touch with the God that we are adoring. We reflected on Jesus and the apostles who couldn't stay awake even for one hour in the Garden while He was away praying.

1) ***EW Retreat*** (7pm, 11 June - 7pm, 13 June)
Ever wondered why we come back week after week for CG? Thinking about how else you can grow in your own spiritual journey? Reached a spiritual plateau and don't know how to progress further? Or do you just need a weekend to get away from annoying people?
Come for EW retreat! This is going to be the only retreat this year for the community and we're very blessed to have Bro Alphonsus, a seminarian based in Nativity for June, conducting this retreat. We will focus on ourselves and how to get in touch with God again!
Venue and cost will be confirmed very soon! Mark the dates on your calendar, don't arrange for any other event that weekend, and come experience God on your journey into young adulthood, just as the two disciples encountered Christ on the road to Emmaus!

2) Youth in the Spirit Seminar (16 May, 23 May, 5-6 June, 20 June)
This YISS is organised by SACCRE Youth, and the first session is on this Sunday, 1030-1230! Please take note if you've signed up. Contact Ben Tan for more details!
3) 40-hour adoration (9pm, 4 June - 1pm, 6 June)
There will be a sign-up sheet going around at CG this Sunday. If you would like to commit to spending time in front of the Blessed Sacrament, do put your name down. The 1st step to doing this devotion is to put your name down for 1 or 2 hours...
Social gathering is off this week as there is EYR meeting and Sebby is tied down! So i'll see all you lovely people on Sunday!
