Hey hey hey all Walkers!
This is the first bulletin for 2010! Hope your new year has been going well so far! Those of you who are receiving this for the first time, welcome to Emmaus Walk! Hope you hang around for the, er, walk!
Fun fact of the day: No one has found a good way to name the last decade (Zeroes? Noughties? Kosongs? Ling Lings*?) that everyone can agree on.
So as we head into another decade that no one has found a good way to name (Tennies? Sepuluhs? Shis?), let's not worry too much about what to call it and focus on how we are going to walk through this year instead!
Breaking news:
We have conducted our election, and our additional exco member is... Deborah! Thanks to all for your prayers, we really appreciate your staying around and praying with us each step of the way!
CG Recap / This Week in CG:
Last week we reflected on our calling from God, and how we often hesitate to do God's work, but God assures us that He will do the necessary, and that our mission is indeed important (Jeremiah 1: 4-10).
This week, we continue our weekly CG with... a surprise... as usual :) Come join us and find out more!
Other announcements:
1) Fr Henry Siew's 50th Birthday Dinner (Sun 24 Jan, 7pm)
Tickets are at $30 ($20 if you are willing to do some ushering...). Approach Moses or Barry for tickets!
Ok that's all from me, see you all this Sunday!!!

*The Chinese do call each decade by its number, so the 80s was "ba ling nian dai", 90s was "jiu ling nian dai", so the decade that was is probably "ling ling nian dai". Don't you just love Mandarin???
