Dear all Walkers,
We have once again crossed the midpoint of the week, and are headed for an exciting weekend! How exciting is it going to be?
Social Gathering
As if our own lives are not complicated enough, we want to also kay-poh on other people's complicated lives! Join us in watching "It's Complicated", TODAY (thursday). TIming and Venue to be informed via sms by Sebby, please check with him at 90262289.
Last Week's CG
We celebrated Baptism of Our Lord on Sunday, and reflected on our own baptism. Our baptism is a calling to set forth and spread the kingdom of God, just as Jesus started his ministry after his own baptism. For cradle Catholics, baptism may be a fuzzy memory or non-memory, but now that we have seen the example of Jesus, we need to take action and start our own ministry too, be it in church or at work or elsewhere.
This Week in CG
This Sunday, we will have a follow-up session with the participants of our End-Year Retreat. They will catch up with one another in their groups and share how things have been since EYR ended. For those of you who weren't at the EYR, fear not, you will also have a place at this week's CG! Do come and find out more!
Also, we start at 7pm this week because food is provided! So there is no need to go get dinner first if you're attending Sunday Evening Mass.
Other announcements:
1) Fr Henry's 50th birthday dinner (Sunday 24 Jan, 7pm)
We have a few tickets left at $30 each, do join us in the celebration if you can! Our Sebby and Clare are the emcees so we can go and make as much noise as possible too :) Please note that there'll be no CG on that day as many of us are involved in the dinner (mostly in the eating...) Contact Barry (h/p 94353416) if you want to come and feast!
2) Wanted: Leaders for PnW
If you feel unsatisfied with just participating at PnW and want to help lead or play music, please see Elaine (h/p 97665492).
3) Wanted: EYR 2010 committee
Yes, barely has the dust settled on EYR 2009, and we're already planning for EYR 2010! We're forming the committee, if you want to help in the planning, please see Elaine and she'll arrange for things to happen.
Basically, if you love seeing Elaine, join lots of things!
And for the rest of us, see you tonight (if you're watching It's Complicated), else, see you on Sunday!
In His Love,
barry
