Dear all Walkers,
A big THANK YOU
to all who helped out for the visit to Sunlove Home on National Day! And especially to Aloysius Chua who coordinated the event with Society of St Vincent de Paul. They send their heartfelt thanks and best regards.
Do look out for more opportunities to volunteer. There are many places that could use some cheer!
Last Sunday in CG
Adeline and Amanda led us through a mini Ignatian contemplation of Sunday's Gospel about Jesus walking on water (Matt 14:22-33). Jesus had just fed 5000 men, and was now going away to pray. He sends his disciples away on a boat, and they get into a storm. Jesus walks across the water to get to the boat, and Peter wants to join in the fun, but he gets scared and sinks into the water. Jesus yanks him out, gets into the boat, calms the storm, and all is well again.
Which character can you identify with? Peter? Jesus? The other disciples? Why?
