emmaus walk bulletin: 27 jan

Dear all Walkers,
It is often said that the night is at its darkest before dawn, and we are often told that we must strive to see light at the end of the tunnel. However, it is also true that it is the darkest just before it goes pitch black, and the light at the end of tunnel may be the headlights of an oncoming train. It is a good thing then, that we have Jesus as our light, and He will shine through the night and shine through the darkness. :)

Last Sunday
We had a dinner on church grounds to celebrate Fr Henry Siew's 50th birthday. We would like to wish Fr Henry a very happy 50th birthday! Fr Henry has supported us always in our endeavours to build this community, and we thank him for his patience and love. We also thank God for blessing Fr Henry with his gifts and talents and pray that God will continue to shine His light through his faithful servant.

This week
CG resumes at 7.30pm in B2-1 (the carpeted room), so do come and join us as we continue to journey with Christ on the road to Emmaus!

Other Announcements:

Also, social gathering is happening tomorrow (Thu, 28/1)! For the benefit of those of you new to this mailing list, on Thursday nights, some of us meet up to gripe about how the week is not quite over and how we can't wait for the weekend to be here, or just to chill and unwind after 4 days of work/school. So if you want to hang out, contact Sebby (h/p 90262289) for details! (Live update: currently there are two options: (a) dinner and chill and Wala Wala's; (b) movie: The Imaginarium of Dr Parnasus.)

Ok that's all from me, till next this Sunday and next week!

In His Love,
barry
