Decided to be early this week and post our prayers up before the new week begins :) May the Lord grant us renewed hope, strength and courage to face the challenges in the week ahead!
Here are the prayer intentions for this week:
- I pray for the spirit of understanding, of compassion, of love, of friendship. I pray for the ability to forgive, to lift up my life to God.
- I offer this prayer to my mum's colleague and his familywho have recently experienced the loss of their son, a young 25 year old who passed on from cardiac arrest. Give them the strength to cope, and peace of heart, that they may give thanks fo what was given to them, rather than grieve for what was lost.
- I pray for the sanity of the world, that all the recent terrorist activities won't divide people, but instead unite them against evil forces.
- Pray for students all around. Pray for their teachers. Pray for the ability to pray for things/people that do not concern me.
- Pray for all those who are sick and those who are caring for the sick.
- For friends, loved ones who feel a lack of direction and purpose in life, that God will grant them wisdom to realize and open their hearts to trust in the Lord's ways.
- For myself (Michelle), for more motivation and good health to teach more dynamically and be a more effective sensei.
- For Jeremy and Michelle, to be a peace-loving, God-guided couple working towards a common goal (to be like-minded)
- For all those who are feeling tired from work, school or relationship issues; for the weary, the lost, the searching, that God will shine His benevolent light on them and show them the way to truth, that He will grant them patience and perseverance to wait upon Him, and that He will give them the strength to carry on with life with a renewed spirit.
- For the Emmaus Walk community, that we will be binded together with love that is centred on Christ.
For those not present today,
- you were missed! >.<
- you don't escape from WOW either! This week, on top of the night prayer, we are to pray our favourite prayer on a daily basis (or at least try). Eg if your favourite form of prayer is mass, try to go for daily mass; if it's adoration, try to adore daily etc. (Saying grace don't count! :P)
Lastly, for those not present today but have prayer intentions to offer up, kindly post it in the tagboard, and I'll add on to the post accordingly :)
God bless! :)
"but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." - Isaiah 40: 31
Please pray for Jennifer who is being stalked and threatened and for her family.
