Dear beloveds,

As we continue to pray with faith and hope for the various needs of our community, we also give thanks to God for the many wonderful blessings He has showered upon us. This week we lift up not only our prayer petitions, but also thanksgiving to our gracious God.

Thanksgiving:

• Thank you Lord for the life that I have, for the friends you have sent into my life and for the strength you've given me to overcome the obstacles in my life
• Father God, August 2009 has been a great production month. I desire so much to qualify for New Zealand and by submission it has been done. Thank you for wonderful clients and friends.
• Lord thank you for all the good this week, please help me to always turn to you at all times.
• Dear Lord, thank you for the gift of friends, family, health and well-being. Thanks for the weeks past, and to come.
• Thank you Lord for showing the youths the beauty of your love through one another
• Thank you God for being faithful to your beloved people, for bringing us these few months of busy church life. :) Thank you for my family, the time spent with my sister, and the friends in our community who love and support me. :) Thank you for being You! :D
• Thank you God for the miraculous work he has done in my organization [Elaine]
• Thank you God for keeping grandma safe, despite the strange bites she woke up to and nightmare she suffers.
• Thank you God for helping me through the week and peppering my difficult week with bouts of laughter and moments with friends and loved ones.
• Thank you God for giving Jem his first step to his career - his own centre
• I thank God for the new comers in EW
• Thank God for blessing my family and relationships with my friends and loved ones. Thank you God for showering my family and loved ones with good health and peace of mind.
• Lord I thank you for the loved ones that you have given us and I pray that you will continue to guide each and every one of your children.
• Lord, thank you for continuing to love me and being faithful to me, despite the many times I've strayed from you.

Prayer intentions:

• I pray to God for direction, especially with my new business venture. I pray to God to continue blessing my parents, my family and my loved ones. I pray to God for strength to do His work and offer up more of my time to Him.
• Pray for JC2s as they begin prelims
• I pray for the growth of the youths in Nativity.
• I offer up those who are sick, that God will health their physical and emotional pain, relieve them of any burdens and renew their lives with joy and health again.
• I pray for those who lack a sense of purpose and direction in life, that God will show them a way and allow them to discover their work on earth.
• I pray for all the clients and families I have met, that God bless them. [Elaine]
• I pray for continuous revival of the parish.
• Dear Lord, I pray that I will find more purpose and goals in life. I pray that I will find the determination and reason to reach for my goals. Pray for the courage and fortitude to reach for what I do not have, yet reminding me to be not too absorbed with what I do not have, but to cherish and appreciate what I have also.
• Father, 2009 has been a very challenging year after my promotion. My directions and vision are Yours to keep and direct me. Please help me find peace despite my lonely moments to carry me.
• I pray for my family, that love will be valued above all else.
• I pray for EYR, that the Lord will touch and transform the lives of all participating in it, in His time, according to His own will.
• I pray for my loved ones overseas right now, that God will protect them and keep them safe from harm.
