The Best Years of Our Lives

When I read this quotation, I thought of all the people who blame their life's struggles on their circumstances. I've done it a couple of times too, in recent years, as if my happiness in life were reliant on another human being. But as we all probably already realise, it makes no sense.

(Nope, not a swipe at the government critics. Not an intentional one anyway. ;) )

My joy is completely reliant on my inner peace. And as Christians, we are taught many different ways to find this peace. I thought that the past EW session on the Divine Mercy and the other forms of devotion show that we do have different methods to find our way to peace. It's really quite cool when you think about it!

I'm sure there will be some disagreements with the last statement on us being in control of our destiny. As Christians, we know that there is some role for us to play. Problem is, it's kinda hard to figure out. All we can possibly do is to live our lives to the best of our ability!
